Hallidays Point is situated midway between Forster (15 minutes south) and Taree (20 minutes north) and is a coastal area taking in the villages of Tallwoods, Black Head, Red Head and Diamond Beach.
Black Head Beach is a multi-award winning beach under the Keep Australia Beautiful program for its cleanliness and its friendly local resident population winning back to back titles as the friendliest beach and the cleanest beach. Black Head Beach is patrolled during the summer months and features a 30 metre ocean pool plus a kiddie’s pool, excellent fishing, picnic and BBQ areas for family outings.
Another highlight of this area is the littoral rainforest walks which encompass striking coastal landforms as well as rare tracks of the coastal rainforest. The walks take in the two headlands of Black Head and Red Head and is joined by Black Head Beach. Another fantastic walk is through the Seascape subdivision with great walking tracks and fantastic beach and ocean views to the north. Whale watching is another great pastime during the whale watching season from the beautiful headlands and beaches the area has to offer.
A popular holiday destination and heaven to the locals Hallidays Point now offers many facilities for such a small area. LJ Hooker Hallidays Point / Diamond Beach is situated in the village square amongst shops such as Foodworks Supermarket, Chemist, Hairdresser, Day Spa, Gobblegutz Espresso Bar and Bakery. Tallwoods Village offers an 18 hole championship golf course featuring a pro shop and bistro restaurant. There is a family Tavern, Bowling Club and a nearby fun park. The Big Buzz is ideal for families with all kinds of activities such as waterslides, go karts, swimming pools etc.

Black Head Bazaar
Black Head Markets are held in Wylie Breckenridge Park on the first Sunday of the month, from September to May.
Black Head Ocean Bath
One of only two ocean baths in the Barrington Coast. The Black Head Ocean Baths (also known as the Black Head Rock Pool) comprises of a 30m pool and children's swimming area.
Black Head Beach is 1.6 km long running in a gentle east-facing arc between Red Head and Black Head and is regarded as one of the best swimming beaches in the Manning Valley. It features large shady Norfolk Island pines, an ocean pool, picnic areas, and barbecues. The beach is patrolled during the swimming season (October to April) by both professional life guards during school holidays and by volunteer surf life savers from Black Head Surf Life Saving Club on weekends and public holidays.
Tallwoods Country Club
Tallwoods golf course is an established, world-class, 18-hole championship course and is proudly Australia’s only course designed by the award winning Dr Michael Hurdzan.

Shopping can be done locally at the Hallidays Point FoodWorks or further afield at one of the larger centres such as Stocklands, Forster or Manning Mall, Taree.
There are some restaurants locally, mostly of the takeaway variety. More choice can be found at Forster/Tuncurry and Taree.
Kid Spot is Forster’s only kids indoor play centre. While the kids run wild on the playground meeting lots of new friends, the parents can sit back, relax and watch their children play, while enjoying a coffee, catching up with friends or having a bite to eat from the cafe. Their equipment includes a mega climbing maze, ball swamps, jumping castle, slides, flying fox and much more.
Big Buzz Fun Park 25 acres of adventure and fun! The park features a toboggan run, three open water slides, jumbo slide, toddlers slide, kamikaze slide, BMX and mountain bikes (enclosed footwear required), speed karts (enclosed footwear required), mountain boards, tricycles, shoot for the basket, half tennis court, swimming pool, beach volleyball, trampolines, swings, nine hole chip and putt short course golf, kiosk and plenty of undercover seating with free gas barbecues with shaded picnic area. The park caters for children’s parties, social events, coach tours and has an open barn available for hire, which can accommodate up to 250 people.

By car
Getting to the Manning Valley region of Hallidays Point is easy, follow the signs and you can’t miss this cluster of coastal villages: Hallidays Point, Tallwoods Village, Black Head, Red Head and Diamond Beach.
From Sydney head north along the Pacific Highway (approximately 140km north of Newcastle).
Turn Right towards Forster onto Failford Road for 5.6km
Turn left onto the Lakes Way for 2.2km
Turn right onto Blackhead Road towards Hallidays Point
By train
The nearest railway station is Taree which is on the main northern rail line from Sydney to Brisbane. There are several XPT trains per day in both directions.

Port Macquarie airport is the next-nearest public airport. It services Qantaslink and Alliance Airlines with flights across Australia.
